About the club

Vall d’Or Golf brings together an 18-hole, par-71 course, sea views and a clubhouse overlooking the bays of Portocolom and Cala d’Or. Located in Felanitx on Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, it offers a round shaped by rolling fairways, Mediterranean trees and a broader, more rugged second half that descends towards the coast.

For a golfer planning a visit to Mallorca, the course is only part of the picture. A driving range, golf academy and shop sit alongside a clubhouse restaurant, while tennis adds an option beyond golf.

The course and its development

Vall d’Or first opened with nine holes in 1986. An expansion between 1991 and 1993 created the present 18-hole layout. The course now combines different settings within the same round, with the sea forming part of the views from the layout.

Pines, almond trees and olive trees line the rolling fairways. In the second half, the setting becomes more open and the terrain more rugged as the course makes its way downhill towards the coast. That change in space and relief is a defining feature of the round, rather than a single landscape repeated from start to finish.

The combination is worth keeping in mind when choosing where to play: Vall d’Or pairs tree-lined, undulating fairways with a wider coastal section, all within a par-71 course.

Clubhouse views and Spanish cooking

The clubhouse looks out over the bays of Portocolom and Cala d’Or, giving the coastal setting a role beyond the course itself. Its restaurant, mÁxime, is on the first floor and serves Spanish cuisine with views across south-east Mallorca.

It provides somewhere to eat at the club as well as another perspective on the surrounding coast. The sea views are therefore part of both sides of a visit: the golf itself and time spent in the clubhouse restaurant.

Practice and other facilities

The driving range and golf academy complement the main course, and the club also has a golf shop. These facilities form the golf offering alongside the 18-hole layout.

Tennis is available too, broadening the club’s facilities beyond the fairways. Together with the restaurant, it gives Vall d’Or a mix of golf, dining and another sporting activity in the same club.
