About the club

Torremirona Golf Club brings together an 18-hole course, a hotel and facilities for dining, sport and wellbeing in the natural surroundings of the Empordà. In Figueres, in Girona province, it is part of the Costa Brava's golf offering. For a visitor planning a golf stay, the resort offers more than the round itself.

The par-72 course was designed by Eugenio Aguado and Jordi Soler. Lakes, bunkers and undulating greens give it its identity, with an island green providing a particularly distinctive feature among the 18 holes.

The course

Water is an important part of Torremirona's appearance. Its lakes sit alongside bunkers and contoured putting surfaces, bringing several different elements into the round. The greens' undulations make their shape worth studying rather than treating arrival on the putting surface as the end of the task.

The island green is one of the course's defining details, but it belongs to a broader layout shaped by water, sand and movement in the greens. Together, these features give a useful picture of what to expect from the golf, set within the natural landscape of the Empordà.

Staying at the resort

Hotel TorreMirona Relais Hotel Golf & Spa provides accommodation within the resort. It is an option for travellers who want their hotel and golf course to be part of the same stay, rather than organising the two separately.

The clubhouse stands beside the hotel and was inaugurated in 1993. That date refers specifically to the clubhouse, not to the opening of the course. Dining is also part of the resort's offering, with Restaurante El Canigó complementing the golf and accommodation.

Golf tuition

Torremirona has a golf academy alongside its course. For visitors interested in including tuition in their trip, the school is another part of the club's facilities, in addition to the hotel and restaurant.

Beyond the round

The resort's Fitness/Spa facilities, swimming pools and thermal circuit broaden the options away from golf. There is also a hammam and saunas, as well as spaces for different sports.

These facilities make it possible to consider Torremirona as a stay combining golf, physical activity and wellbeing. The course remains the focus for golfers, while the hotel, restaurant and wider resort provide other ways to spend time around a round.
