Club Golf d'Aro

Club Golf d'Aro brings together an 18-hole course and a nine-hole pitch and putt in the Gavarres Natural Park, with panoramic views of the Mediterranean coast. For a golf visit to Catalonia's Costa Brava, it offers a choice of two playing formats alongside practice facilities, tuition, a restaurant and a golf shop.

The club is in the municipality of Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i s'Agaró, in the province of Girona. Its setting combines the natural park with coastal views: useful context when choosing where to spend a day of a Costa Brava golf trip.

The Championship Course

Ramón Espinosa designed the Championship Course, which opened in 1990. It has 18 holes and a par of 72, and in 1992 it received recognition as the best golf course in Europe.

There are four sets of tees, with the following total lengths:

• White: 6,210 metres.
• Yellow: 6,001 metres.
• Blue: 5,270 metres.
• Red: 5,032 metres.

These give golfers a choice of distances on the same layout. If an 18-hole round is the focus of your visit, this is the club's full-length option; the separate pitch and putt provides a shorter-distance alternative rather than another set of tees on the main course.

Pitch & Putt Mas Nou

Pitch & Putt Mas Nou has nine holes and measures 1,588 metres in total. It offers a different format for a session focused on short-distance golf, whether you choose it instead of the Championship Course or include both during your visit.

The pitch and putt is irrigated with reclaimed water. This maintenance detail applies specifically to the shorter course.

Practice, learning and time off the course

The driving range and golf academy add practice and learning to the club's playing options. When planning your golf time, you can therefore look beyond a round alone and include practice alongside either course.

Restaurante Forat 19 and the Pro Shop complete the facilities. Together with the range and academy, they allow a visit to combine golf, practice and a restaurant stop at the same club. The two courses remain the main choice to make: 18 holes on Espinosa's layout or nine holes of pitch and putt, both within the club's Gavarres setting.
