Croquet

For travellers interested in croquet, Valle del Este Resort in Vera, Almería, has two points worth noting: a lawn approved by the Spanish federation and a climate that allows play throughout the year. Together, these define the croquet facility, alongside its continuing role as a venue for official competition.

An established tournament venue

The croquet lawn has hosted official tournaments every year since 2021. Competition is therefore a recurring part of croquet at Valle del Este, rather than a single event in the resort’s history. Federation approval and the annual tournaments are the key features for visitors who take an interest in the sport’s competitive side.

A year-round activity in Vera

When considering the time of year for a visit, croquet need not be thought of solely as a summer activity here. Vera’s climate allows it to be played in every season. That year-round scope for play is a useful distinction from the tournament programme: the annual competitions are one aspect of the facility, while the local climate supports the sport across the calendar.
