Tambre Golf & Croquet

Tambre Golf & Croquet brings together an 18-hole pitch-and-putt course and three croquet lawns beside the River Tambre. The club is in Oroso, in the province of A Coruña, Galicia. For a golfer including it in a visit to the region, the main features are the course, practice facilities and the opportunity to explore a club with both golf and croquet at its heart.

The pitch-and-putt course

Tambre Pitch & Putt has 18 holes and a par of 54. It is the club’s golf course, with a format that places the emphasis on the short game rather than a conventional full-length round.

For planning purposes, it helps to distinguish the course from the separate training areas. A round and a practice session are different ways to spend time at Tambre, and the facilities include dedicated spaces for approach play and putting as well as the driving range.

Practice facilities

The driving range has 12 bays. An approach area and a putting green complete the practice provision, while Flightscope technology is also available at the club.

Together, these are useful features to note if practice is the main reason for your visit. Rather than focusing only on the 18-hole layout, you can consider the range, approach area and putting green as distinct parts of the club’s golf offering.

Golf and croquet academy

The academy covers both sports named in the club’s title. It has its own place within Tambre’s facilities, alongside the driving range and the croquet lawns.

Croquet beside the river

The three croquet lawns sit beside the River Tambre. Croquet is therefore a substantial part of the facilities, not simply a reference in the club’s name, and sits alongside the pitch-and-putt offering.
