About Driving range

At Real Novo Sancti Petri Golf Club in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, the driving range combines full-shot practice with an approach area. It offers scope to work on power and accuracy, then turn to shorter shots from a range of lies.

Grass and mat practice positions

There are numerous hitting positions on natural grass and mats, giving you two surfaces to practise from. Marked distances and targets provide reference points for your shots, whether your focus is on reaching a distance or directing the ball towards a specific target.

These markers give a session a clear focus: you can work on power while keeping a distance reference, or concentrate on accuracy rather than length alone.

Approach practice

The approach area offers shots from both closely cut grass and rough, with different slopes and distances. This allows you to vary the position and length of each shot rather than repeat the same approach throughout a session.

Together, the range and approach area let you divide your practice between longer shots and the adjustments needed around the green.
