Real Club de Golf El Prat - Barcelona

The club is on the Bonvilar estate in Terrassa, between Terrassa and Sabadell, 25 minutes from Barcelona. Its 210-hectare natural setting is surrounded by the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park.

Choosing your round

Greg Norman designed the complex’s 45 holes, which can be combined to form the 18-hole Pink, Yellow and Green courses. The different combinations provide options for a range of playing levels and styles, rather than restricting a visit to a single layout.

Pink is an 18-hole Norman design that the club describes as its championship course. It measures 6,465 metres from the black tees and 4,715 metres from the reds.

Yellow, also an 18-hole Norman course, measures 6,661 metres from the black tees and 5,112 metres from the reds. It is longer than Pink from both sets of tees, a useful distinction when choosing your course and starting point.

The club also has Vallés Golf, a nine-hole pitch-and-putt course with a par of 35.

Practice and tuition

A 300-metre driving range provides space to work on longer shots, while approach areas and putting greens cater for short-game practice. The golf academy and Pro-Shop are also part of the club’s facilities, bringing tuition, practice and golf retail together in one place.

Staying and spending time off the course

The complex’s accommodation offering includes Hotel La Mola Resort & Spa. A restaurant, children’s club and padel courts give families and non-playing companions options beyond the fairways. Swimming pools, bicycles, a gym and a wellness and relaxation area add to the facilities.

There are also spaces for events and celebrations. Taken together, these services allow a visit to include more than a round of golf, whether you are staying at the complex or spending the day with companions.

A long competition history

The club’s origins date to 1912, when Barcelona Golf Club was founded in Pedralbes. It later became Club de Golf de Pedralbes and received its current name in 1954.

It has hosted ten editions of the Spanish Open and more than 250 national and international championships. Its annual Christmas Tournament, held since 1957, is among the club’s oldest competitions.

Alongside that sporting history, the club maintains an environmental commitment. It obtained Biosphere certification in 2022 and renews it annually.
