New Sierra Golf

New Sierra Golf brings together an 18-hole course, practice facilities and golf tuition in the municipality of Murcia. Set in natural surroundings in the south-east of the Region of Murcia, the par-72 course is described by the club as suitable for different styles of play. For a visiting golfer, the choice of four tee lengths is a useful starting point when planning a round.

Choosing your tees

The course measures 6,818 metres from the white tees and 5,579 metres from the reds. Yellow and blue tees provide two further options between those distances, giving golfers several ways to approach the same 18-hole layout.

• White tees: 6,818 metres.
• Yellow tees: 6,261 metres.
• Blue tees: 5,756 metres.
• Red tees: 5,579 metres.

All four sets of tees serve the par-72 course. The whites provide its longest version, while the reds offer the shortest. If you are comparing courses for a golf trip to Murcia, these measurements help you consider the distance you would like to take on, alongside the club's description of a layout accommodating different playing styles.

Practice and tuition

There is a driving range and a putting green, so time at New Sierra Golf need not be limited to a round. The range provides a place to work on your shots, while the putting green allows you to concentrate on putting. Both complement the main course if you want to include practice in your visit.

The club also has a golf academy and offers lessons. Taken together, the course, practice areas and teaching provision allow a visit to focus on playing, working on your game or a combination of the two. These are separate elements of the club's golf offering, rather than the course alone.

Around your round

Buggy and trolley hire are available, giving you options to consider when organising your round. A shop and café complete the facilities away from the course and practice areas.

For golfers visiting Murcia, the appeal is this combination of activities in one place: an 18-hole round with four tee lengths, dedicated practice areas and the option of tuition. The café also provides somewhere for a break, whether your visit is built around a lesson, a practice session or time on the course.
