La Dehesa Club de Golf

La Dehesa Club de Golf brings together an 18-hole course and a wider range of sports and family facilities in Villanueva de la Cañada, in the Community of Madrid. The club opened in 1992 and has become a meeting place for several generations of golfers from towns across the north-western Madrid area.

For a visitor, the course is the starting point, but it is not the whole story. Golf tuition, practice facilities, swimming pools and racket sports all form part of the club, alongside a restaurant and the Club Junior.

Two contrasting nines

Designed by Manuel Piñero, Campo de Golf La Dehesa is an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 6,000 metres from the yellow tees. The distinction between its two nines is central to its character, with the setting and style changing over the course of a round.

The front nine follows the River Aulencia and has a technical character. The back nine is more open, with lakes and water hazards. Rather than repeating the same setting throughout, the layout moves from the riverside holes to a more open second half, while water remains part of the course's identity.

Golf beyond the course

The club has a golf academy and a Trackman Range practice facility. A fitting centre and golf simulator add to its golf provision, giving the club several distinct spaces beyond the 18-hole layout.

These are separate elements of the golf offering: the course itself, the academy, the practice range, the fitting centre and the simulator. Together, they place learning and practice alongside play on the main course.
