EL ROBLEDAL GOLF

El Robledal Golf is an 18-hole club in Villalbilla, in the Community of Madrid. For a visiting golfer, the offering extends beyond a round: there is a ten-bay driving range, dedicated short-game practice areas, a golf school and a restaurant. These are the main elements to consider when deciding whether to focus a visit on playing, practising or learning.

Planning your round

The course measures 5,726 metres from the white tees, 5,400 metres from the yellows and 4,693 metres from the reds. Those three lengths give a useful starting point when choosing tees and considering the total distance of a round. Rather than treating the 18 holes as a single fixed length, it is worth looking at the figures for the individual tee sets.

A newly built lake with a capacity of 48,000 cubic metres is another feature of the course. Together with the tee measurements, it forms part of the picture of the layout at El Robledal.

Time for practice

The driving range has ten bays, while the putting green and practice bunker provide separate opportunities to work on putting and shots from sand. A visit devoted to practice can therefore cover more than the long game, with facilities for these different parts of golf.

The club also has a golf school. For travellers considering golf tuition as part of their visit, the school belongs alongside the course and practice facilities in the club’s offering. It gives learning a place within the wider picture, rather than making a full round the only focus of a golf visit.

A connection with Villalbilla

Competition is another strand of club life. The Premio San Miguel Arcángel, linked to Villalbilla’s patron saint festivities, reached its 24th edition in 2024. The event connects the club’s golf activity with the town’s celebrations.

El Robledal also takes part in Liga 8 Campos, a team competition with eight players representing each club. This adds a team format to the competitive activity associated with the club, alongside the tournament tied to Villalbilla.
