Club de Golf Terramar

Club de Golf Terramar combines an 18-hole, par-72 course with a golf academy, a clubhouse and facilities for tennis and padel. Located in the municipality of Barcelona, Catalonia, it offers more than a round of golf: a restaurant, pro shop and kids’ club are also part of the club’s facilities.

The Terramar course has the following lengths, all measured in metres:

• White tees: 6,154 metres.
• Yellow tees: 5,841 metres.
• Blue tees: 5,347 metres.
• Red tees: 4,987 metres.

These four options give golfers a choice of playing distances on the same 18-hole layout. Looking at the tee lengths before a visit helps put the par-72 scorecard into perspective and gives you a clear basis for choosing where to play from.

The third is a par 3 that finishes facing the Mediterranean. It is a distinctive point to look out for during the round, bringing the sea directly into the experience of the course.

From nine holes to tour golf

Terramar’s original nine-hole course began in 1927. That date belongs to the first layout and marks the starting point of the club’s golfing history.

The club has also hosted the latest four editions of the Ladies European Tour. Its connection with women’s professional golf is another aspect of Terramar to keep in mind alongside the course’s earlier history and its present-day layout.

Environmental practices

Recycled water has been used to irrigate the course since 2019. Terramar also holds Biosphere Certification for Golf for its environmental practices. These are two specific features of the club’s approach to the environment, separate from the playing characteristics of the course itself.
