About the club

Club de Golf Ifach brings together nine holes of golf, sea views and a quiet setting in Benissa, in Alicante province. For a visitor exploring the Costa Blanca, it offers a round lasting approximately an hour and a half, alongside facilities for sport, dining and relaxation. Water sports are also nearby, adding another option beyond golf during a stay in the area.

A longstanding Costa Blanca club

Founded in 1974, Ifach is one of the pioneering golf clubs of the Valencian Community. Its history makes it one of the longstanding names in both the region and Alicante province. The course also opened in 1974 and was designed by Javier Arana.

That background is part of the club’s identity, alongside its nine-hole format and coastal surroundings. Rather than considering the course in isolation, visitors can look at Ifach as a complex that combines golf with other sporting and leisure facilities in Benissa.

The nine-hole round

The layout consists of six par 3s and three par 4s. Par 3 holes therefore account for most of the round, with the three par 4s providing a different element within the same nine-hole course.

The approximate playing time of an hour and a half is a useful starting point when planning a visit. It leaves the choice between making the round the focus of the outing or setting aside additional time for the rest of the complex. The quiet surroundings and sea views are further features of the setting.

The supplied lengths for the tee colours are:

  • White: 3,236 metres.
  • Yellow: 2,940 metres.
  • Blue: 2,776 metres.
  • Red: 2,432 metres.

These figures provide a distance reference for each set of tees, alongside the course’s hole count and par distribution.

Facilities beyond golf

The complex includes practice facilities and a professional shop, as well as tennis. Golf is therefore only one part of the sporting offer, rather than the sole activity available on site.

For time away from the course, there is a restaurant with a swimming pool and sun terrace, a café-bar and a library. Together, these facilities give visitors several ways to combine their round with a meal or some downtime. With water sports nearby as well, Ifach can form part of a Costa Blanca stay that includes activities both on and off the golf course.
