Club de Golf Camprodon

Camprodon

About the club

For a golf trip to the eastern Pyrenees, Club de Golf Camprodon offers a mountain setting beside the town of Camprodon. The club is in Girona province, Catalonia, close to France and at an altitude of around a thousand metres. Its nine-hole course has a stated par of 70, with a driving range, academy, golf shop and catering facilities also available at the club.

A base beside Camprodon

The location places the course next to the town rather than away from the urban area. For visitors staying in Camprodon, that relationship between town and club is a useful starting point when planning golf as part of a longer stay. This is an inland, Pyrenean setting, rather than the coastal side of Girona province.

The club opened in 1990 following an initiative by local residents and people who spent their holidays in Camprodon. Its beginnings therefore bring together the town's permanent community and its returning holiday visitors, both of whom helped get the club started.

The course and practice facilities

The course has nine holes and a stated par of 70. Its position in the eastern Pyrenees, around a thousand metres above sea level, is one of the defining facts of the location. Golf here forms part of a visit to a mountain town close to France.

Alongside the course, the club has a driving range and an academy. These have their own entries in the guide, covering the practice ground and the golf campus. They are the club's facilities for practice and learning, in addition to the course itself.

Beyond the course

Catering is provided through the club's bar and café, which has a separate guide entry. There is also a golf shop, likewise covered on its own page. Together with the range and academy, these make up the services offered alongside the golf course.

Seasonal opening hours

The club's general hours depend on the time of year:

  • Summer: 08:00 to 20:00.
  • The rest of the year: 09:00 to 17:00.

The longer summer opening window is worth noting when arranging a visit. Outside summer, use the shorter general timetable when fitting time at the club into your stay in Camprodon.
