About the club

Campo de Golf de Meis brings together woodland golf and views of Galicia’s coast. Set in the municipality of Meis, in Pontevedra province, its 18-hole, par-72 course runs through Galician pines, with lakes and natural obstacles along the route. Views take in the Arousa and Pontevedra rías, the coastal inlets that give this part of Galicia its distinctive geography.

Designed by Antonio Grande, the championship course opened in 2000 and marked its 25th anniversary in 2025. Alongside the course, the club has a driving range, golf academy, pro shop and café.

The course and tees

The woodland setting is central to a round at Meis: the layout passes through pine forest, combining its trees with lakes and natural features. There are four sets of tees, offering the following total playing lengths:

  • White tees: 6,263 metres.
  • Yellow tees: 6,086 metres.
  • Blue tees: 5,573 metres.
  • Red tees: 5,378 metres.

These figures give visiting golfers a clear reference when comparing the available tees before their round. Each set serves the same 18-hole layout, with par remaining at 72.

Beyond the round

For a visit that includes more than the course itself, Meis has both a driving range and an academy. The pro shop and the club’s café, Cafetería del Campo de Golf de Meis, complete the facilities available on site.

The range, academy, shop and café each have their own guide entry, allowing readers to explore these parts of the club separately from the main course.

Junior golf

The junior league caters for several stages of golfing experience. Its 18-hole category is for young players with a handicap of 36 or lower, while a nine-hole category is aimed mainly at the youngest junior age group, known in Spain as benjamines.

There is also a beginner category for children who do not yet have enough experience to complete nine holes. Junior competition therefore includes an entry point as well as longer formats.

Competition with an Albariño connection

The club hosts an open competition week associated with Albariño, comprising five qualifying events and a final. The Semana de Ouro do Albariño brought together 120 players who bought a pass covering its five tournaments. Alongside the junior league, it forms part of the competitive activity at Meis.
