About the club

Alenda Golf brings together an 18-hole course, practice facilities, a golf academy and a café in Monforte del Cid. Located in the province of Alicante, in the Valencian Community, the club offers more than a round of golf: practice and tuition are also part of its facilities. For a visitor planning time here, those are useful parts of the picture alongside the main course.

A Roland Favrat design

The course opened in 1999 and was designed by Roland Favrat. It has 18 holes and a par of 72. Favrat’s approach sought to respect the original contours and vegetation of the estate, making the existing landscape a starting point for the design.

That intention is the defining detail of the course’s design story. Rather than considering only the hole count and par, it is worth knowing that the project aimed to retain the character of the land and its vegetation when shaping the golf course.

Space to work on your game

Alenda’s practice area extends to 280 metres and includes three putting greens and a training hole. Together, these provide places to concentrate on different parts of the game, from longer shots to putting.

The training hole is another element to keep in mind when planning a practice session. With the putting greens and the hitting area, it broadens the facilities beyond the main 18-hole layout. A visit can therefore centre on practice as well as on playing the course.

An academy for every level

The golf academy welcomes players of all levels and has qualified instructors. Its facilities include 25 hitting bays, while swing-analysis technology is among the tools available for teaching.

This makes tuition a distinct part of Alenda’s offering, whether a player is new to golf or already has experience. The academy combines places to hit balls with instruction and swing analysis, bringing those resources together within the club.

Beyond the golf

A café completes the club’s facilities, adding a food and drink option alongside the course, practice area and academy. For golfers visiting this part of Alicante province, Alenda offers several ways to spend time at the club. The choice is between a full round, focused practice or working with an instructor, with the café also on site.
